Take it back to the dealership and make them fix it. A new car should not have that problem. I was going to suggest that you got a car with flood damage, but not with a new car. You must have rolled it off the delivery truck.

Sounds like something might have crawled in there and died.

The little metal or plastic tray under the evaporator coil has a weep hole or tube that is supposed to move the moisture outside. If the moisture or condensation isn't leaving in a timely manner mildew will start to grow. I've seen little animals try to make their homes in just about any conceivable place but the evaporator coil is in a sealed plastic case (plenum) and the only way in would be through a vent on the dash or floor. Might just be an assembly line mistake, too.

Right answer to take it back to the dealership if this is a warranty part. Most warranties cover everything for the first 2-3 years and X number of thousand miles.

Good Luck!

hmmmm what makes a gym sock smell so bad? bacteria.
you have got fungusor mold of some kind growing in your evaporator. this may take a few treatments but use some kind of spray disinfectant put you fan on low spray lysol or what ever into the recirculation vent under dash. after soaking it very well turn fan off let it sit for awhile. ( an hour or so ) then turn heat on full with windows up for about an hour. you should be able to tell a difference right away, may take a couple of times to get rid of it completely. if it is under warranty let you dealership do it. they will usually use something so strong it will strip the protective coating off of the evaporator they will then recoat it this is not a job that can be done quickly.

this will happen more often in humid areas of the country.

i presumed before everything with the point out of white smoke which you had blown the cylinderhead gasket, yet that gets heavily undesirable very quicky because of the fact the engine loses coolant. My wager is that the best up screw cap it particularly is meant to hold the water in decrease than tension has failed or perhaps somebody screwed it returned on with the rubberised washing gadget trapped at an an attitude and leaving a area of interest. Set the automobile effectively working on your force or of the line and turn the heater on as no count number if that's wintry climate (there could properly be very demanding regulations approximately leaving engaged on a highway whilst no longer in the back of the wheel).Wait until the auxilliary electric fan cuts in and then heavily seem decrease than the hood to work out the place any steam is hissing out. (could properly be annoying to work out with each and every of the layout-junk on modern-day engines). A ineffective supply away could properly be water dripping off the rubber underside of the hood the place it have been given sprayed, or trails of rust around the egine bay. If that's the cap, permit the automobile cool down for a million/2 an hour and seem at it. Get a clean one no count number if that is not any longer something user-friendly like the washing gadget no longer seated promptly. yet another obtrusive place is that if the backside of the radiator apears moist. you will desire a storage to repair that.

You have a mold problem in your a/c unit---take it to the dealer or a/c shop in your area....they should have a fix for that by spraying a disinfectant in the a/c duct or onto the evaporator and may have to have the dealer remove the evap under warranty to clean it.. Common problem in some area's with high humidity and certain vehicles. Make sure there is water dripping under the car when a/c is on and air temp is hot and humid---if not, you may have a plugged a/c drain hole causing the mold.

First of all it's an 07! Bring it to the dealer. Next, it might be the Freon leaking out. Although I'm not sure if freon hasd a scent.

should be under warranty take it back to the dealer, either you dont shower or your evap tube is clogged you can also open the hood and under the wiper blades you will see like two vent things, spray lysol into these for a few seconds and start the car, but if you have less than 30k on the car and it is an 07, id take it back to the dealer
