if you don't wear a tampon then don't swim. but still go to the meet!! your team needs your support!!!

but it is perfectly safe to wear tampons and swim. If you don't wear one and you swim you will be bleeding in the water which is a risk for passing on diseases and germs, and simply just really gross!

best of luck if you do swim!!!!!!!

The best way to swim during your period is to wear a tampon. If you don't like them can you at least wear it for the swim meet? If you go swimming without a tampon you could start to bleed in the water.

you can certainly swim during your period. You will have to use a tampon though. If you never used one then talk to your mother about how to use one. Pads will just soak up the water and the blood will get into the pool.
Good Luck

Yes it is safe for a woman to swim, well have u noticed that when u take a shower your period seem to stop. Well the same thing happens when you go for a swim in the water. You period will stop and i would suggest you to use a tampon just in case. I m pretty sure that u will be alrite if you don't use a tampon.

Take care

I used to be on a swim team when I was younger and you will just have to learn to use tampons. Don't skip the meet... your team is counting on you! If you have trouble using a tampon, you can actually wear a pad with your bathing suit while you are not in the water, take it out right before your race, and put another one on afterwards.

Swim darling.. but you have to wear a tampon. No sense doing all that tough training and then missing an important competition because you feel a little uncomfortable. You cannot swim leaving a trail..... sharks will get you.

Your period does not stop when you are in the water. Use a tampon if you wish to swim, even if you don't like them, it sure beats embarrassing yourself by bleeding in front of everybody.

your best bet is to just wear a tampon for that one meet, then go back to pads or whatever right after you get out of the pool. good luck girl!

wearing tampons is the only way to go, just be careful of that hanging string....a pad may bulk up or start to disintegrate when wet...most tampon problems/issues are from not inserting them in far enough....
