Controversial question! Which carries a worse stigma, Being a Nazi (Aryanism) or being a Satanist?

Question

As a student of both politics and religion, I understand how both of them work, but haven't been able to figure this one out.

This is a SERIOUS question, I'm not just trying to offend people. Please do not respond with irrate personal opinions about either, biblical quotes badmouthing Satanism, or the like. I know enough about both belief systems and If anyone gets verbally abusive or posts something that doesn't answer the question at least a little I'll report them.

So, that's it. Please explain your answers, why you think which one carries the worst rep with society and whatever details you might have. Thanks.

Very interesting answers so far! I'm impressed. I have a few things to clairify, though.

First, I know that Aryanism and Nazis are not exactly the same, but they are a religion with a corrosponding political party, and I worded my question like that because I felt it would be easier for people to compare two religions than a religion and a political party.

Second, some Neo-Nazis actually deny support for racial hate crimes, and only claim to believe in segregation. I personally think that a facade to cause people to lower their guard, but that's the official framework of their beliefs. See:

Third, by Satanists I mean those who actually identify theirselves as such, are serious about it, and have studied and practiced for seveal years. Think Anton LaVey, Blanche Barton, John Allee(no comments about him being kicked out, please), and not metal heads and generic highschool goths.

I would say both of them are idiots but seeing as how Satanists really haven't done anything bad except for making fun of Christianity and the Nazis killed millions of people and are ******* Fascists I'm going to have to say Nazis are way worse

The biblical aspect is very personal. If you worship the devil, Christians believe you will go to hell. That's your choice.

Nazis, however, affect OTHERS. Just look at the holocaust. I'm not saying Satanists don't hurt people, but Nazis were the reason an unspeakable number of Jewish men, women, and children were killed in World War 2. I don't know of Satanists being responsible for that many lost lives due to hatred.

It's hard to say one is worse than another, because if you read the Bible, Satan is the worse thing possible. So if you think about it THAT way, Nazis are really doing the devil's bidding.

Interesting question ! And a tad confusing, because aryanism and nazism are NOT one and the same; albeit there are similarities.

Some nazi's liked the idea of 'a super race' and latched onto the fictional story of the aryans. But, the super race or (super man) idea was from nietszhe; who was an anti christ of the highest degree.

The satanists, ala the carny lavey or lahoy...I forget the clowns' name...lol.. published a lot of propoganda about how 'ethical' they are...but their philosophy is to live by self will . And, anecdotally, they all end up doing selfish and perverted sexual things to weaker humans; which makes them petty tyrants and evil in my book.

If you scratch a nazi leader, under the veneer, you have a pagan. Who pretends that nationalism is his raison d tre; but actually is drunk on power and control.

And, of course, the nazi rank and file were merely men (and boys) convinced by their leaders that nationalism was right; and they gave their lives for that lie.

So, I come to the conclusion - stigma wise...that satanism SHOULD carry a heavier and repugnant stigma and aryanism..is an innocuous fairy tale.

***Someone stated above that satanists do not believe is satan !!! Nor worship it !! That is not TRUE. What is true is, just like their propaganda that they are ethical; they don't advertise that the 'god of this world' is actually who they are slaves of. And, so many are soooo unconscious that they are clueless about who the 'puppet master' is.

Just like the wiccans, who worship mother earth and the 'goddess'!! Did you know that behind the 'goddess' there is always the 'horned god/one' ??? They don't talk about him, but he's there.

P.S. when I say the 'carny' lavey...I mean anton....who plagiarized someone's work and named it, 'the satanic bible'. Did you know that he was a petty thief in traveling carnivals and played the piano in strip clubs...and someone started referring to him as 'doctor' because the piano players in **** ty bars; were called 'doc' ?? For you trivia buffs.

I think Nazis have a worse stigma. Satanists have it pretty bad, too, but the evils of Satanists* aren't taught repeatedly in school systems. Nazism also really cuts a nerve in some people because of who they are- Jews, gays, etc. Satanism isn't a personal enemy of many people where a lot of people are offended by the Nazis because of the actual actions taken against their 'kind'.



*...evils of Satanists- I don't mean I necessarily believe they are evil, I mean it in context of the answer.

Hmm... interesting question. I think both have bad reputations but I thinks Nazis have a worser history after slaughtering all those Jews and Gypsy's and innocent people. Satanist have their share of horror stories but they can never be confirmed.
People say they sacrifice people and all that but it's really all just hear say and no reliable proof. Not only that most Satanist aren't really even Satan worshipers at all but atheists.

Since Aryanism is more geared towards anhiliation of other human beings & satanism is more about pulling the power of satan into themselves... I would have to go with Aryanism

Because god & satan dont exist in my reality... but hate & prejudice & oppression do. So I have more of a problem with Nazi's than satanists... I actually have a couple friends that are pagan (which is not satanism, but many christians get that mixed up)

I had to give this a bit of thought.

But upon serious reflection, i would MUCH rather live next door to a satanist then a nazi.

I dont have much experience with either, but lets think about it for a sec, nazis have done a LOT of evil. Satanists might have done a lot of evil, but i dont know for sure what they do, if they ARE doing a lot of evil, its not very public, unless we count Dick Cheney who is obviously in a business partnership with satan.

For me, this is an easy question. I think calling oneself a "Satanist" is just kind of silly. When I think of people like this, I imagine costumes, heavy metal music, and wild parties. Calling oneself a "nazi" is a whole different ballgame. Besides plunging the world into a devastating war with incredible loss of life, they went out of their way to commit atrocities that included the widespread extermination of innocent humans. Anyone who would want to be associated with nazis has to be a sick individual.

for me it would be satanism is worse because to worship evil would be condemming myself and perhaps my children to hell although i do not agree with the nazi movement as long as they arent sending jews to gas chambers and recreating ww2 i dont see the harm in sticking with your own race,not that i agree i dont but for me satanism is far worse
