First you would have to take the Italian nationality, and afterwards yes, you could be eligible, but only if you haven't played for another country. Like Deco (Brazilian) playing with Portugal

japan has a brazilian player on their national team who suddenly became a japanese citizen. So governments can become pretty imaginative when they want a player on thir national teams.

you have to have a citizenship from that country. if you have multiple citizenships then you choose. once you play for that country, then you can't change National Teams.
