When I was younger, I thought that I couldn't survive without books. But, now that I am older, it takes so long just to do the daily routine stuff, don't have time for R & R, do watch some TV or videos (DVD's, whatever) and spend some time on the computer, so I believe that NOW I could survive without books.

I probably could, if I could still have stories, essays, periodicals, advertisements, instruction sheets, tracts, and jar labels.
Once I went traveling around in a foreign country on a motorcycle. I took an essay on the function of scientists in society, and I did fine re-reading it every day until I got back to my books.

nope. i love to read. i have a stack of about 20 books on my nightstand. i've read a little from each one. i keep switching...but i'm sticking with HP6 right now just to refresh my memory before the 7th one is out! i literally just bought about 13 books at a thrift store yesterday. they were only a quarter each! i can't resist.

no. books keep my mind open and functioning...books are a useful tool in teaching reading and critical thinking skills.
