If you can agree on that. Sounds fair. Neither thing should get neglected as both are important, but I am always more inclined to the intrests of my own kids. If you can't attend the baptism a nice heartfelt card and gift would be nice as well.
Hope all works out, best wishes on your son's baseball championship!=)

yes. baptisms are important but so is this game. its a championship and to get to that level your son had to work very hard. even if your husband is the only one that goes it will really make your son feel good- like he's being supported.

Sounds like a good plan to me unless you are uncomfortable making the drive alone with the girls. Someone should be with your son at the championship game and he shouldn't have to miss it.

Why dont all of you skip the Baptism and go to the baseball game? Its not like one of your kids is getting Baptized.

A baptism is a very important event in anyone's life. However, I could not tell you who attended mine. I was nearly frightened stiff...and that water was v e r y cold. I remember thinking that it seemed like the minister kept me under longer than I felt he should have...and then I thought about death and maybe this would be it. I thought...wow...what a way to go...drowned at her baptism. I smiled thinking at that; and, he lifted me up. I was soaking wet...smiling...beaming really. And, I wondered why nobody thought to bring a towel to church with us that day. I wondered if my mother would make me walk home because I would get her car wet. It was a good day. I will remember most of the ceremony; although, I was one on one with the lord that day and cannot recall much that was said before or after. It is a very cleansing feeling. I felt relieved and strengthened. I do not know who stayed for it..or who left early that day after church service; however, it is a beautiful feeling to know that I could have died...and for some reason did not feel fear of it. That is the blessing, you know, to stop feeling afraid of death and dying...because you have made your position known...you chosen a side...and irregardless of what else happens in your life to challenge your test of faith...you know...it is just a test and if it ended suddenly...you just go on up to heaven to find out what work they have for you there...

You do whatever you feel is best for you to do. She will need a personal bible (when she gets dried off)...you could bring one and a towel with you...just in case everyone forgets that part about where you wind up soaking wet afterwards...and she will not want to attend without her personal bible...it feels awkward.

See the source below...it is a good reference for those passages that you would like to remember the whereabouts of it...

Sounds like a good plan to me. Either that, or the whole family should attend your son's big game.

Chow!!
