I have seen some pictures of the plugs, but have no reference points. They just show the plugs on an engine but can't figure out where on the engine the picture is.

Well drain plug(s) is actually singular. This motor (305ci) only has one drain plug and it's for the oil. Now if you are talking about freeze plugs for the water, they are located on the engine block itself. Each side contains three if im not mistaken. They are round and about the size of a half dollar coin. This particular motor doesn't have a gaurd under the it.

On the oil pan under the engine.

dose it still have the guard around the bottom of the engine , if it dose move it and you will see it and you will need a # 14 wrinch or socket . good luck
