Charity G - What a foolish statement. Jesus told people that their sins were forgiven and to sin no more. He didn't say oh, cool you just killed a guy, keep it up pal.

The largest sin of all is pride, and the biggest sinners are those who say they speak for God's intentions.

YOU or anyone else cannot tell anyone that a political or ethical stance is a sin. It may not fit with your philosophy, but that's about it.

It's also not up to you to create a hate mongering stance. God does not want an exclusive club with YOUR rules. God wants everyone. EVERYONE

What are you doing as a Christian to bring everyone into the arms of God?

You can either reach out with love or hate. Jesus taught us that Love was the answer and that Hate is the false prophet. Where are you?

It is not an oxymoron. Remember Jesus was liberal in his time. So Jesus seem to care pretty much about how we treat people while we are here. Jesus also forgave those who crucified him which I believe means he believes in grace. So a Christian Liberal is someone who understands grace and Jesus fairly well.

If you are using the term liberal as a general political description, then no, it is not an oxymoron. Because religion and politics are like water and oil--they don't mix, no matter how long you stand there stirring the pot.

yes it is, you cannot be a christian and also be a liberal. Liberals have for 30 years outwardly showed there contempt for anything Christian, promoting, gay unions, homosexuality,multi-culturalism, political correctness, promote non-christian faith, also pro-aportion and rooted in counter culture lifestyles and values. Chiristians (not just people who say they are a christian), but as Christ said hmself : "You MUST be born again" these are the only Christians, not just being rasied in the US or Europe somehow makes you a Christian becasue someone sprinkled waterr on your head as a baby, that is not a christian, baptism is for a beiever, who is spiritually born again, a baby is a baby, it cannot make that choice at that time. and so to many grow up, saying they are a chritian becasue they went to church or there folks did, that also is not a christian. they say 90% of the US is Chiristian, that is totally wrong, it is more like 9% if that (few enter into the kingdom of heaven, many walk the broad road that leads to there own destruction), since you must be born again, not by works least anyone shoauld boast. aand Chist denounces all the things I listed, as worldly cocepts by unbelieving people. So yes it's a modern day way of trying to be on the fence, and Christ says, you cannot be on the fence, you either have to be hot or cold, not lukewarm,if you are lukewarm he will spew you out.!

Most people don't look to government for their morals. There are many Christian democrats. What is your method of forcing your morals on others? The difference is in whether we force people to live their life as a republican says or tolerate those who are different. Government has trouble enforcing the law, let alone enforcing people's personal morals.

Christians are not liberals when they go to church and liberals are not Christians when they go to vote, so why do you dare put them as one. The bible is filled with Christians not politicians......think back at what Jesus Christ endured because of the Leaders in his time, and you guys complain about republicans.

Well, I'm a Christian with liberal political views, so what's the problem?

EDIT: Where does it say in the Bible that two men or two women cannot marry?

I find it amusing that people pervert the Bible to support their own prejudices.

Yes, it's possible.

For a person to be liberal mean that they are progressive thinking. There are no set beliefs for either libs or cons. It just means that one is progressive while the other is not.

So, a person can be Liberal and be anti-abortion.

Do you know GODS greatest commandment for all of mankind to live by? Most Republicans don't know the answer and don't live by GODS word. BTW, I am a conservative not a liberal. I don't think a $9 trillion debt ran up by Bush and Republicans is a good thing for America..
