Do you people who ask questions that are statements really believe the crap you say? You do not expect an answer, you just want to spout your liberal/conservative dem/rep garbage. Why? Does it help? Do you just want someone to boost your ego by agreeing or do you want someone to respond with anger to reinforce you negative opinion? Why not ask a question you are truly curious about rather than just spout of some nonsense about republicans being nazi warmongers or democrats being baby killing psycho gays?

So this is my question. Do you really believe it, the crap you are spouting? You know who you are.

To whitney con, you ask why I am not in Iraq fighting, I am active duty, and have been deployed for more than 24 months of the last 4 years. Just to answer your question.

I'm with you and yet, if you look at the motivation for your own question, maybe you can understand the motivation of the askers with whom you are angry. I'm not saying you're spewing garbage. Your frustration is reasonably founded.

But other people need an outlet for their frustration and so they ask, even if it's not an answer they are looking for but rather an opportunity to vent.

I don't know how much what we see on YA is a reflection of reality. I think here we get extremes and, of course, the quality of anonymity contributes to that.

You might also get some 12-year olds who just feel like throwing a few smokebombs. Sometimes they just want a rise.

But for the most part I think a lot of people are so idealogically on opposite sides in this country that it is near impossible for them to understand the other side. Instead of conservatives trying to understand liberals (and vice versa), they merely make assumptions and spew. They assume the other party is wrong 100 percent of the time and they are right 100 percent of the time, because the other side seems so foreign and absurd. Never mind, the other side may have some good points.

But unfortunately, I don't know if you'll be able to get an honest answer from the people whom you are asking, since their very "questions" might suggest they are not open to a lot of reflection on their actions and beliefs.

Better not to waste too much energy being mad at these guys. Believe me, I've been there.

Do you really want an answer?

Seriously, I often wonder myself how people can actually believe some of the stuff I see here, things that are EASILY disproven with a little basic research and common sense. Some of the ones that go so far as to make me doubt Darwin are:

The USSC appointed Bush to the Presidency
Clinton wasn't impeached
Clinton was impeached for having sex
The twin towers were a controlled demolition

I will disagree with you on one thing. You say they know who they are. I really doubt that. Stupidity is rarely found in those that can recognize their own stupidity.

I agree with you, but I can also kind of understand why people do that. Attention. If they personally don't feel like people agree with them on the way they feel in their life, then just simply getting it out to the rest on the world (even though it's through a virtual question/answer room), it can fulfill that need to make a statement of what they believe or think. They also may do it because they feel so strongly and the people around them feel so strongly about whatever that thing is, that they tell everybody about it - even people on Yahoo! Answers that could care less...

Haha, what a crazy world we live in.

Much of what you read here is from wannabe comedians that think being rude and offensive is funny and cute. The responses are from readers that allow themselves to be offended by these trolls and fire back without realizing they have fallen into a trap. Best thing to do is just not feed the trolls.

I most certainly do believe everything I say! Some of us sincerely want to change the world for the better. Some of us sincerely want to live in a world without greed, selfishness, and social injustice, or fascism! A world filled with kindness, compassion, honesty, sharing, and unconditional love for all....a truly evolved world. And, the only way to make that happen is to keep speaking our truth, as often as we can, to as many as we can reach, in any way that we are capable.

It is very possible, because we are literally all one, and we are creators of our own realities...both individually and collectively...and we only have to decide that this is the kind of world we want to collectively create, and we only have to choose that kind of world instead of the extinction of our entire species! *sm*

Shamus, Joe Walsh put out an album in the 70's titled "You can't argue with a sick mind".

Take a deep breath and don't respond to the obvious nuts.

Yes. But for me, this is a game of words. And I enjoy the opportunity to express myself creatively, while still answering questions of import.

It is a great outlet for someone like me.

I think people would enjoy themselves more on this site if they didn't take it so seriously. JMO
