italy? venice.
italian? football people.
hahaha. i must say, italian have lots of things that i awe of. venice is one thing struck my mind. of course, pasta, vatican city, colleseum, gladiator, Roman empire, movies titled Beautiful Life and Malena come into my mind.
And not to forget, Mussolini and the sicilian mafia. owh..don calderone of Godfather.
Romantic Italy air. who could resist it anyway? and devoted italian towards their football, who could resist that anyway?

I did Renaissance Italy in high school so I would have to say the history.
Things like:
- de Medici's the most powerful family at the time
- the creation of glass
- political murders
- patronage of some of the worlds greatest artists
The list is endless.
As far as what I think of them today... I personally perceive them to be a very well feed, fashion conscious, cultured, citizens.

The Renaissance, fabulous landscape architecture all over the country, the uniqueness of Venice, great food, beautiful countryside, closeness to Greece and the rest of Europe, rich history, much more.

Wine and the Navy. I spent some time in Italy while in the US Navy. Italy is a beautiful country.

From my first hand experience with my trip to Italy, I experienced and remember alot of things.
Friendliness, hospitality, alot of bad moped drivers, getting hit by a moped on the sidewalk, and alot of beggars at the hotspots. I also associate friendly vendors on the street, and being abke to bargain for a real looking knock off for five euros...

Really tasty food. They are really good cooks. The men are very handsome too. I have only seen Italy on the TV, but it looks beautiful and it's one of the places that I would really like to visit one day.

My ancestors who came over through Ellis Island to start a new life here. My family is Sicilian and I've always wanted to go to Sicily and all over Italy.

I think of pasta, rome, leonardo da vinci, mona lisa, a boot, and I would really want to go there. I love the country and I think I might like the citizens there.
