I should have added this earlier; its a laptop. Are both processors working all the time? If not, how can I make them?

What you want to do is very EASY on an enthusiast motherboard on a desktop. ALL he tweaking options are there. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to do that on a proprietary motherboard or on a laptop.

If you are lucky and your clock generator chip is supported by Clockgen, you might be able to do some overclocking. But overclocking is not for newbies. Better read some basics of overclocking first so that you will have a clear understanding of what you will be doing.

overclocking would be a way to tap into some power in your centrino duo processor. if done correctly, you can easily add on a ghz or more of speed.
