As far as they want. If you limit the lengths to which you let them go, you really havent let them go - you have just increased the space in which you hold them. That's just like putting a bird in a bigger cage. If you are willing to let them go, your hold has to be completely severed -unconditionally. Pax- C

to let something go.... as beautiful and as loved by you as it is, means to hold onto the love you've given and allow it to be with that thing or person whereever they feel they need to go. So letting go permanently and without restraint or judgement is "letting it go"..... life changes and needs change and sometimes the hardest thing to do is let go of that which has brought great comfort and delight ... but just think how cool it is that you've given someone/thing a part of your heart and with that giving them something that will shape and form their (and yours) live from that point on. You are a part of that making.

To the ends of the earth. They will return. And when they do, you either put them in a cage, or stuff them and put them on your mantle.

Well, I'ts happened to me and now I glow. So, I guess, when they return, we become the one who is on the mantle and shine for all.

It is so worth it.

To set someone free means to relinquish control - i.e. you have to let THEM decide. You're still in control mode.
