My boyfriend was a staunch Reagan supporter. Sometimes we just can't discuss politics.

There's actually a very famous couple of politicians, Mary Matalin and James Carville, who are often on Meet the Press. They are married and one is very conservative and the other is very liberal. They often argue with each other on TV and it's pretty funny.

The best example is James Carnville and his wife, Mary Matalin.

James is a democratic strategist, while his wife worked for President George H.W. Bush on his 1992 reelection campaign. They could not be more polar opposites politically, but somehow they stay married. I mean, not only are their political views different, but they care about them so much that they made it their job.

If you're one of those people who loves make up se%, then that's probably a good situation for ya ;-)

Mary Matlin and James Carville.

I suppose that Judge Judy is a conservative. Her husband is clearly a big liberal.

God, props to both the Conservative and the Liberal if they get married and stay married.

A good example would be James Carville and Mary Matalin.

On Y/A, I'm not so sure.

I personally could not. I find that politics, religion, and values have a huge impact on a good marriage. My husband is more of a Conservative than I am, and I'm very Conservative. I can't say I'm an example! Great post, nice to see something different.

For sure. I am a staunch conservative and my spouse is a moon bat liberal. Every November or so, we go to the polls and cancel out each others vote.
We've been doing it for 40 years.
No, we do not discuss politics very often.

Yes. I am a Conservative and My husband is a Democrat-liberal. We have been married 39 years and we just do not discuss politics anymore. We go to the polls each time to vote and kill each other vote every time.

How about Mary Matalin and James Carville? I can't imagine any two people more politically different and yet their marriage has seemed to work for years now.
