With ramps, heavy stones, chiseling tools and logs. Logs were used like wheels to make the transport of the heavy stones; with each section of the pyramid that was built a dirt ramp was built to the next level. Again logs were used as wheels to move the heavy stones; in order for the stones to fit exactly they were chiseled until they did. This process continued until the pyramid is done. Believe it or not they the slaves were paid in salt and or garlic if memory serves me.

Well they say by manpower, and I suppose that's the only possible answer. It's just hard to fathom because they are so grand in size, but think about it-all they had was time. They weren't sitting around watching tv, they were hard workers. It's still amazing though.

A recent article in Archeology magazine claims they were built from the inside out.
I wish they would restore their limestone casing blocks to their exterior.

It had to be sheer manpower using wheels, pulleys and years and years and years...actually that doesn't really convince me those rocks are so dang heavy it is a mystery if it is not what I said.
