I'm looking for some books to read over the summer holidays, as I get bored alarmingly easy, and books tend to help. Some of my favorite books are the Harry Potter series, Twilight, Oliver Twist, and anything by L.A. Meyer. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

Eoin Colfer books are really good! Like The Wish List or The Supernaturalist, and many many others. You could also start reading the A Series Of Unfortunate Events series. Kay Hooper books, her "Fear" series is good if you want to read horror/thrillers. :)

If your into fantasy I would suggest Lord of the Rings. But some good books about everyday characters are Catalyst by Laurie Halls Anderson and Speak also by the same author. They are both really good. If your wanting to read something different I suggest Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula LeGuin, , Enders Game by Orson Scott Card and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Of course that's if your into science fiction. You could also try some classics too...like A Brave New World by Aldus Huxley or 1984 by George Orwell.

Honestly, the best thing to do is to check news outlets' best seller lists. Usually, best-sellers appeal to a wide audience, and are not terribly long or hard to understand. The library can be a great source of virtually free reads, too.

"Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It's funny, kind of thought provoking, fast-paced, and nearly impossible to put down. It's about a demon and an angel during the apocalypse and their quest together to stop it.
