My parents live in a different country but can't find their marriage license. How can they do that over the internet? They were married in Greenfield, WI (Milwaukee county). Any help would be appreciated.

Perhaps this site will help. You do have to pay to get the item you want. Best of luck.

I think the person who's names are on the marriage license are the ONLY ones who are authorized to request copies of their marriage license----since they are out of the country, I have to assume that only a hand written SIGNED letter will do with BOTH parents signatures so they can be matched with those on the license... and of course the $25 check or money order included. I DO know from personal experience that when you request a BIRTH CERTIFICATE from the town or county building that only the person who's CERTIFICATE it IS may pick up the certificate UNLESS there has been a DEATH and then you must produce a certified copy of the DEATH CERTIFICATE in order to get the birth certificate of someone who is deceased.

Just request a copy from the court. It costs about $25.

Just call the county registrar where they were married (may be able to do it online) and ask for a copy.
