i lost my vista cd....but i still have my serial number...
if i download a vista....will it have wierd side effects like..not being able to update?

If it were me I would order the restore CD's from the manufacturer so I could restore with drivers and all and have a properly operating system.
Downloads are sure to be contaminated since LEGAL copies are not obtained that method.

probobly not, but personally i prefer Windows XP Home edition, Vista is infused with many unecesary widgets and slows a computer down when memory begins to become scarce.
