Is he registered? You can complain to the police department if you have a playground at the complex, but there isn't anything else you can legally do.

As a mother you need to have a neighborhood meeting with parents and kids, show his picture to everyone and make SURE that everyone knows he is dangereous.

He will get a clue pretty quickly that and will hopefully leave.

Nothing, since most states only require notification if such a person moves into your area. The notification is given so that YOU can be aware of the potential hazard and proceed accordingly. However, you have no recourse in trying to force this person out of his residence. You can only move out yourself as soon as your lease expires.

If you know for sure he is a pedophile, and you know he likes boys, then you would be wise to find another apartment, Also tell your son so he is aware of the situation. You can try and force the pedophile out but that can be very nasty. choice is yours.

Do you know this to be a fact or is it a rumor?

If it's true, then in addition to being watchful, realize that if enough tenants complain, the landlord may be willing to ask the person to leave.

Also, there are pedophiles lurking in places that we least expect, who just haven't been caught yet.

Make sure you know what youre talking about first. Allegations can be just that. But, convicted pedophiles must register as sex offenders. If your neighbor has not, that will get him arrested, thus, gone.

He has a right to live there as you do. The first thing you could do is purchase a dictionary so you could learn how to spell pedophile.
