Perception does not equal reality.
This is a common MISconception among those that believe truth is relative.
If your perception OF reality changes, that just means that you will no longer understand what reality in the same way that the rest of us do. And just because most of us are experiencing it in the same way doesn't make our perecption correct. It doesn't make your perception any better or worse than ours, just different.

That reality is subjective. If someone else took the same drug and looked over your shoulder, do you think they would be seeing your reality of the menagerie or their own reality of subjective perception? Maybe what needs to be changed is the textbook definition of reality .

It shows that you can temporarily change YOUR "reality" that not one single other person can access b/c it's strictly a change in your interpretation of the data. The data isn't changing, your interpretation is.
