This year the Dallas Mavericks fowardDirk Nowitzki won the mvp award for the regular season. He won the award because he helped leed the mavericks to a 67 game win season. The award was given out sooner because the mavs had an early exit in the playoffs.

Dirk Nowitzki of the Mavs (Steve Nash should have won it in my opinion). They picked right after the Mav's got knocked out of the playoffs (by a number 8 seed i might add).

Dirk won coz of the awesome reg season the mavs had, 67-15. I personally think Lebron deserved it more coz he had a great season with avery crappy team.
