We'd like to know what zoos you can go to and see a platypus.

Most zoos have their own website. Check the websites of the zoos in your area, and they will probably have a list of which animals they have at that zoo. Just give the name of the zoo into the Yahoo or Google search engine.

Not sure if they still have any, but the San Diego Zoo had a platypus...really neat display, too - glass all around with rocks and green stuff - you could walk all around and watch it from any angle. Get their website up and see for yourself!

I don't know that there are any platypuses in the USA or anywhere outside Australia. Captive breeding has had some success in Australian zoos like Taronga Park and Healesville and I know that platypuses have been sent to Europe on occasion but they are all dead now without breeding.

If there is a zoo in the USA with platypuses it is most likely to be San Diego but I wouldn't guarantee they have them.

I have them in the river at the bottom of my garden but I don't live in the USA.
