Good for them i 've been sober for two years now

I've never met one so I couldn't say. I grew up around alcoholics and I ended up marrying one. Personally I think its great for the alcoholic that they finally decided to improve themselves. I mean cause with alchys its always been and always will be about them. Unfortunately it doesn't fix any of the damage that they caused in other peoples lives. Just my opinion.

My dad has been sober for over 15 years . God bless him . He was not the violent type , but a lush , ( as my mom calls it )
when he became sober , my mom wanted to divorce him because it wasn't the same man she married . but she got over it . they have been married for close to 40 years .
I look up to him , the only hero who didn't fail me

i dont kno cause i have known an alcoholic that was sober for a long time, and they went right back to drinkin again.

kudos to them.my wifees uncle has been sober for over tenyears and am very proud of him

I am very proud of them and I would like to shake each one of their hands. I seen a lot of bad things happen to drinkers and a lot of them were very close to my heart. They were not strong enough to stop and the ones that are strong enough. I salute them!!!
