You can't ban condoms and vasectomies, especially when these things do some good (and they do). And what women's reproductive rights are we talking about hear? You didn't give any details on anything specific and I find it hard to accept that any government could possibly decide these kinda things for themselves and get away with it. It sounds to me like your ranting, and though I can understand it, this is yahoo answers. There isn't much point to to asking these kind of questions here considering not many will read them or give you an answer. Try bringing this question up to Oprah or Ellen with more detail to show women what's going on.

1) Should women have the right to exert control over a viable human's right to life?
If unborn people have no rights because they're just useless flesh appendages like fibroid tumors, then how can we say it's a double-murder when someone kills a pregnant woman?
Why is Scott Peterson on death row when a singular murder cannot earn you the death penalty in California? Where's the ACLU on this one? He only killed one person, according to abortion rights advocates. Therefore he cannot qualify for death in CA. (They're going to execute him anyway in about 50 years.)
2) Should Democrats and liberal Republicans have the right to exert more and more control over your money, property, and lifestyle?
I don't mean to answer with too many questions. Obviously this all needs to be discussed. Unfortunately, people are unable to get beyond the emotional context to use reason or logic. The Scott Peterson situation merely demonstrates the inherent contradictions in liberal thought patterns.
On contradictions, why can't I buy a mercury thermometer, but I will soon be forced to buy mercury-laden CFLs made in China?
Methinks all sight of reason has been lost in these emotional issues. End of discussion.

No and to keep making it an issue does the majority of republicans a disservice. Only Rudy in the current crop of candidates has had the courage to say he is fine with choice. Isn't it time to just drop this issue and get back to smaller, less intrusive government and fiscal responsibility?

I think in some countries they should. Specially in places where disease is rife or they are too poor to be able to get contraception. They breed like rabbits then jump the boat and try and get in other countries illegally.
You seen the population problem in Asian countries? They breed like rabbits too then come to Australia and take our jobs! Any fruit and veg shop, newsagency or deli is run by them.
Here in Australia the government pays women to have babies. Think we get about $4000.00 a baby and it's going up every year to encourage Women to have babies. Coz we have an ageing population and not enough babies to fund this generations retirement.
Funny though, the Pollies over here just gave themselves a 6.5% pay rise. Fuc|

Why do you say Republicans, because the religious right supports them, Their are also religious Democrats I think, or is their any such thing any more. Don't Democrats go to church? Don't they believe in the bible. A woman still has no right to take life for convenience sake which most do.

Discuss what? what reproductive rights are you talking about? women are not machines to program them when to produce and when to shut them down
This is a problem of choices here, when a woman made her choice to sleep with man and enjoy her self and tend not to think about the consequences... then in my opinion she lost her right to make one more choice, it becomes the choice of the baby, and unless the baby is a suicidal.. then I am sure he wants to live...
There is an option, instead of killing ... think adoption...

Only someone pretending to be informed about politics would bring up this issue.
Not all Republicans are against abortion, a large number of us fiscal conservatives, do not care.
So if you are bringing up abortion, you need to get in the 21st century... abortion will never be illegal

It's not about control over a woman's sexual and reproductive health. It's about destroying human life.
Choice exists for the woman BEFORE she becomes pregnant.

no, but everyone needs to understand that abortion is not a form of birth control. responsibility and the love of life can be found in all of us somewhere, it needs to be brought out and used.
