Haven't actually celebrated it yet. In Spain there is a festival, San Juan held on the 24th to celebrate the summer solstice(even though the actual solstice is the 21st). Most popular one is held in Soria, Spain. You may have seen photos of men holding women on their backs, usually a wife, girlfriend or daughter, stomping across hot coals. That's the festival of San Juan. Here in Leon they just have a bunch of carnival rides and drinking. Good enough for me!
The sun in Spain sets at about 10:45 p.m. here. Love the long nights!

Macedonians are worshiping the Holly Sun for more than a 4000 years. We usually go to the ancient observatories as Kokino and Cocev Kamen, where music concerts are performed till dawn.

The ornament of the Sun appears on the Macedonian flags eternally.

I didn't celebrate, but I saw, in the newspaper, that some people, who looked kinda hippi-ish, were playing drums down at the lakefront...I wish I had known about that...It looked like a scene from the 60's...I've always wanted to visit the 60's!!! :) I want to put flowers in my hair and dance barefoot in the sand!!!!! LOL!!! :)

I don't. To me it's a date without significance, other than it's a minute and a half longer than June 20th. I went to work and went to class as usual.

I just came back inside. I went out on my back porch, with a chalice of wine, recited a ritual for Litha with all my cats around. Then sat and enjoyed the evening in my rocking chair with my wine. Happy Litha! :-)

sent smoke to the havens using a stone dish - (burned kinnickinnick)
listened to the sounds of the birds -
played with my dogs - chatted with my husband - scratched the ears of my cat -
