An Aborigine is a true Austrailian. Much like the Native Americans. They are not savages. In fact they were more civilized than the English who invaded them. Aborigines had no concept of "property" everything belongs to everyone. In such an unforgiving landscape they adopted such unique perspectives in order to survive. Until about 300 yrs ago they lived pretty much in the stone-age....but live they did..thank you very much. Factoid: until about 1970 the Austrailian govt had the right to take their children from them without "due process".....just take them...for no reason at all...just come and take them...gives one pause doesnt it?

Aborigines are the decedents of the native people in Australia. They are typically poorer and less educated than the white folks.

Personally, I don't think that banning alcohol is the way to go. They need to do more with education, jobs and healthcare. They are definitely tackling it from the wrong angle.
