The phrase "is it worth while?" is correct... because it's a complete sentence and it refers to something being worthy of your time... similarly, when someone says 'stay a while' it refers to giving your time.
After you've said, "I told you so!" (I hope it was You who said the correct phrase, LOL), you & your hubby can think through the reasons that "Is it worth wild?" is incorrect. First, it is an incomplete sentence; it needs a word for the action or object being weighed against 'it.' Second, even when trying to finish this sentence, it's difficult to find a fitting or appropriate context. It's awkward for such a sentence to make any sense. Other contributors pointing to 'wild sex' gave me a laugh, they're very creative, but how would you make a whole statement with that? "Is 'it' worth wild sex?"... is what worth while sex? Maybe "Is being fined and imprisoned worth having wild sex in the park?"

Definitely worth while, except in bed. Then it's worth being wild!
