I personally find that statement scary.
Because I don't know who they are taking it from. But I could only surmise they mean Americans.

It just means they will have the majority in 2008. But my dear it always been like that, i believe that's why this is a great nation, "Change" is a good thing, then next election Republican will win , if we had only one policy and one idea to go by then would not be going forward and improve.

In theory, they mean they hope to win the presidency and at least a majority in congress. That way they can pass laws according to their ideology without having to make back room deals for republican votes, or the fear of a veto.

They already taken us back in a few months. How much farther do they want to go, The 60's. The Democrat Congress is at 17% today by a Gallup Poll.

They're aiming to win the white house (Presidency) in the 2008 Presidential election.
With that, they will have control over the Congress and White House, clearing the way for Democratic legislation to make it through all the hurdles that have up to now, impeded legislative progress.
