The Libertarians I've met seem like clear thinkers, a small minority do get elected nationwide.

However the 2 major parties get major contributions which leads to major advertising when campaigning.

The sad fact is, the more Americans see the same face at election time the more likely they are to vote for that face.

I have no issues with them. One of the most upstanding participants in this forum is a libertarian.

We should all be so lucky to have a strong libertarian candidate on the next presidential ballot...

They're ok. Along with Scorpios and Gemini. Relax, Im just kidding. I agree with the personal liberties. But think some of the economic policies can be harmful to the poor and middle class individuals or small businesses.

I've never heard from any real Libertarians.

Have come across a few people who vote Republican though and don't have the courage to call themselves Republican.

What do you call a Republican voter who doesn't have the courage to call themselves "Republican"?

A Libertarian.

Socially Liberal Libertarians are ok.

"Socially Conservative Libertarians" which what Rupert Murdoch claims to be, just need to stop playing games and say they are right wingers.

In principle, I like the philosophy of a smaller government. However, in practice, I do not believe that some of their policies are correct (open borders, legalization of drugs, etc).

I'm pretty much fine with them, I don't agree with their policies though...it's the far left that I have issues with.
