Nothing is wrong with that. That's wonderful! That is someone who has morals and values.
There is so much pride and respect in that relationship and when they become married it's true LOVE. They know what true love is, because they shared it with nothing else.
I wish everyone thought like that, because unfortunately society and media has definitely taken the true meaning out of marriage and so many people don't know what they're missing!

It means that I stood in front of a church full of people and vowed to stay with the love of my life through thick and thin. It means my husband did the same thing. It means that after a 25 year marriage he decided that he was only kidding about those vows and found a replacement for me. It means betrayal. It means a broken heart that will never repair. One bright spot: my wonderful son. Had I not met and married my husband, I would never have had him. And I am thankful for that. But only that.

Society is always dictating, however marriage to
me is a life long committment from two loving
people, who are responsible to each other and
who will stand by for each other, no matter what
and who will build a rock solid foundation of stay-
ing togeather and always treating one another with
respect and will never let society or anything else
destroy that.

I don't think pre-marital affairs have anything to do with what marriage means to me, except that it doesn't mean, "Okay, we're allowed to have sex now." If it's important to you to wait, I see nothing wrong with that.
Marriage means you've chosen who you're going to stick with for life; you've picked your best friend and your companion and you're always going to come first for each other. And you don't cheat on them 'cause that would hurt their feelings and distract you from being a good spouse.

I am answering the question of what marriage means to me, not what you think about societies.
Marriage is having someone by your side who you can count on for any thing that may be happening in your life.
They should be your friend, your partner, your person whom you feel most comfortable telling anything about yourself without question.
That is what a marriage is.

Everyone that I know who remained PURE until marriage, have cheated! My husband & I (who say been there, done that) are faithful and extremely happy. I even believe our happiness attributes to us looking younger than we are. Its true! Waiting to get married to me, means waiting to buy a house when you get married, not saving your virginity!

to each their own, for some it is necessity for others it is constrictive for me it is out of the question. There are great relationships and disastrous couplings , those who go willingly and those who go fighting it.good unions are rare but a worth while aspiration.
