It is my belief that the first two on the list should be

1)Hank Aaron
2)Ken Griffey

Ken continues to get injured because he refuses to take performance enhancing drugs. Sure, I have no proof of this ... but his head didn't swell like Bonds or Giambi, and he was never caught with a cork in his bat like Sosa. Griffey is still a heck of a player, and if scientists could develop a legal way to keep the body from aging --- he could clear the 600 plateau easily. Of course, that's all speculation.

That's strange ... the experts on SportsCenter beg to differ - I agree with the point that steroids screw with your muscles and tendons, but they prevent injuries at times for other reasons. Those words weren't from my mouth, but thanks for the arguement (guy down the list a bit).

He'd probably ben closer than Barry to breaking it. He was a 30 to 40 HR a season guy before the injuries. It's a shame though that all he has accomplished has been overshadowed by the lab produced ball players like Bonds, Sosa, Canseco, Giambi, and the like. Griffey is a class player and my favorite ever.

I kinda "roughed it out" in accordance with what he did formerly he got here to the Reds, what proportion video games he missed off an popular season because of the fact that factor, and what his popular totals could have been each 300 and sixty 5 days had he remained wholesome, and figured he'd have approximately a hundred and forty greater HRs than he does now. Hes at present at 582, so 582 +a hundred and forty=722.

He would be AT LEAST ahead of willie mays, minimum 680 hrs, RIGHT NOW!!! In less than 3 years he would have passed Hank Aaron and he would make whatever ol' juicy Bonds ends up with a joke. But, it wouldnt matter b/c A-rod would crush Griffeys total eventually.

Wave that magic wand and Junior is sitting on 699 home runs as of tonight, and I only say that so his drooling fans are denied thoughts of 700.

However, the spell is nonspecific and Bonds also gets some pixie dust, and that puts him at 801 and looking down at Aaron.

He would have crushed the record. We wouldn't be talking about that piece of trash Bonds because we would have a guy who actually earned it breaking the record.I really love Griffey and it really upsets me to think of what he could have done if it wasn't for injuries.

since coming over to the Reds, he's missed over 400 games due to injury. Assuming he kept up around 40 HR per 162 games, that gives him another 100ish, so he'd be somewhere between Willie Mays and Babe Ruth on the list.

I'd guess within the next year, he'll head on over to the AL and DH for another 3-4 years, So I think it's reasonable to think he'd pass Willie Mays before he retires.

Coupled with the injuries, he potentially could have retired with around 775

i think he would be closer to 800 home runs and we would be talking about how many he would get by the end of his career because he is only 37 and has at least 3 more years in him, there is no telling how many he could have had. he would be considered the greatest player of all time not only because of his ability to bat but also his fielding ability

He'd be right around 700 if he didn't miss any time.

And for the record, taking steroids makes your body more susceptible to injuries. Steroids and human growth hormones cause your muscles to grow but do not cause your tendons to grow. As such, your muscles often out-grow their tendons causing many tears and strains. Not saying Griff took anything, but he didn't get hurt BECAUSE he wasn't taking 'roids...he got hurt because he was brittle and had a lot of bad luck.
