I just got to my cousins house and her computer speakers aren't working :/ The system still makes sounds and the speakers are plugged in but they just don't work. My cousin told me that recently her computer crashed and she had to use a reboot disk to get it running again. If anyone knows what I can do to get these speakers working again I'd appreciate it. Thanks :]

If your cousin's computer is a Compaq, there should be a separate CD that has all the device drivers on it.

Open "Device Manager" and see if there are any other devices needing drivers (look for small yellow circles next to the device listings).

Good luck.

Check to see if the software for the sound card is installed.
