They love to pick up pieces of gravel and sand in the road for their digestive system. I have doves all around my home and I love them so much. They are beautiful, quiet and very sweet birds. If I were a bird, I would want to be a dove.

Maybe because they love open spaces instead of cramped up places. Besides, if there are no parks around, where else can you expect them to walk around and look for bits and pieces of food?

Because of the heat generated by the road by the cars who have passed.. It feels good on their tummies; especially if they are pregenant.
