not just the islamic one but there are many in europe and africa, asia etc. So why do people listen to the media and only focus on brown skinned terriosts. What if a terriost was white or another colour wouldn't that person manage to get away, and carry out the attack. I think we should inspect people the same at borders and airports and not just check certain skin colours. If we want to live in a more safer country i think we ought to keep our security not narrowed on one group, because what if another group decides to attack then what will happen. What do you think should be done?

I agree with you. But I think the reason people think of Islamic only is because of the whole 9-11 thing. If it weren't for that, I don't think many people would have the same image of a terrorist if you asked them what a terrorist looks like. Every country has terrorists. We have some here in the US; the Oklahoma city bomber, Columbine shootings - they were all terrorists, but we don't associate them as terrorists as immediately as we associate Islamic men. Women can be terrorists too, but people first associate a terorrist as being male. I'm not sure if this will ever change, simply because 9-11 caused a huge impact in the hearts and souls of many people across the world (especially in the US), but hopefully one day after all the war is over with, we will all be able to live a little more peacefully, like the way we did pre 9-11.

Absolutely. The interest in Islamic terrorists has really only been in existence since the twin towers were destroyed. Terrorism has been around always - look at the IRA (and the associated groups) in Ireland and the UK in the 70s and 80s to start with. The problem only seems to have been noticed by the US and in particular Bush junior since 9/11.

i truly think you are absolutely right. I usually c that on airports and stuff, if there is a problem with a white person, they just let it by very easily. But when there is something wrong with a muslim or someone wearing a cover on their head, everything gets all complecated.
Somthing seriously needs to be done about this.

While I agree we need to be more diligent about security, the fact remains that 911 was carried out by middle eastern men between the ages of 18 and 35. And that it is Muslim factions who have openly declared their desire to hurt the USA as well other western nations..
Scrutiny is not however reserved for brown skinned terrorists as you say. Members of the Irish Republican Army have been stopped from entering the country for many years.

Yes I agree with you on most counts there. However stereo-typing in certain situations saves lives.
P.S./Eg. All Israeli airports have extra, specifically designed searches and identification questions for Non-Israeli's including Muslims.

Probably because at the moment the Islamic terrorists - Al Qaeda et al - are the most widespread and most active of groups. In the eighties and nineties in Britain, it was irish people who were most suspected, because of the high activity of the IRA at the time.
It's simply the unfortunate times we live in.
