Only thing baffling about the Royal Family IS the Royal Family. Incest, sex with animals, and horrible teeth. What is wrong with you people?

Why do we care about a bunch of money grubbing layabouts? Because we're Americans. I'm an illegitimate descendant of King Henry VIII, and two of my ancestors signed the Magna Carta, and I really don't care about the Royal Family at all.
The real answer is because the people that do care are trying to live out their lives vicariously through the fantasyland of being a royal. Now somebody get me a crumpet or its off with their heads!

Not really. People need to worship a bunch of lazy money grabbing layabouts. You have the "Royal Family," and we have Paris Hilton. Want to trade?

From the economic point of view - the Royal kinfolk brings in lots of situations greater funds than they are paid from the civil checklist - in tourism ! hundreds of thousands of persons a 300 and sixty 5 days come to the united kingdom to work out our Royal kinfolk - spending BILLIONS collectively as they are right here - this a strategies out-weighs the quantity they get from the civil checklist ! additionally - the money given from the civil checklist - will pay for the staff and maintenance of the likes of the Palace - all of it comes out of the civil checklist 'allowance' no-the place else ! aside from that - i might lots fairly have a hereditary Royal kinfolk - than some elected bozo any-day !!

I think it's odd that such a progressive country like Great Britain still honors a monarchy. I realize that now it is nothing more than a tradition but why does your country continue to support the royal family with taxes?

baffle is definitely the wrong word.
and to consider all americans the same is like grabbing a bunch of any race and expecting us to be the same. we're all different, so before you start thinkin we're all the same how are we supposed to think you're any different than the so called lazy royal british families ?

-It seems to me that the "Royals" are largely symbolic in the U.K. but they do still carry some weight and influence... If it's part of your heritage and the people still recognize them as the "Royal Family," then there's not much to qstn.

I think it's funny that Paul McCartney and Sean Connery and the rest of them are Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Sean Connery.
Maybe if we had any talent in America these days, we could be like that!

I guess for me the real issue is "What does the Queen and her lot do to add value to your country?" I may be wrong but I am under the impression she holds no real power in your country.
