Probably because you treat women generally different from how to treat male comrades. It would be as if you were extra special nice to a male comrade and he was just annoyed with it.
Perhaps it's a sign of weakness to give a woman extra attention when you are still at a stage of feeling each other out?
Plus, the quiet ones are the more mysterious. Mystery attracts people. When you are quiet, people can't categorize you and use practiced methods to deal with you. When you are quiet, you force people to apply ideas to you, you come to manifest repressed desires for them by being a blank, malleable slate. Then you start talking and they find ways to break down the myths to defend their own egos against the threat of mastery.

You are more unattainable, more mysterious, and as the others stated, it's more exciting to win over someone who's aloof, and the insecure ones'll NEED you to like them, so they'll work on your attentions. Also, guys who ignore women just seem stronger [the strong, silent type]. They seem secure, as if they can stand alone and don't need anyone. They also don't come across as flirts.

Curiosity. They like a challenge. Why...if they could break through that tough exterior of yours and get you to fall on your knees for them, they would be the queen of all queens.

Girls respond negative to nice people because they look desprate. Girls respond positive to people who act like they dont care because they act as if they dont need them. Dont ignore them completely , smack them or say crude and sick things! That will make them respond crazy because their being a fu***** sdaistic(however you spell it) bastard.
