Am I 'cool'? Gosh, no. I'm 71 and disabled, but, still and all, I remain in the warm embrace of my life's work, a professional actor in the Shakespearean theatre. My aim as a kid actor in New York in the 'fifties, was to be the greatest actor that ever lived; I never hoped to be 'cool'. It was, by the way, both a word and a 'style' in the 'forties and 'fifties, but professional musicians, mostly jazz musicians, would be called 'cool,' and not idle teenagers with attitude and a credit card.

Star? Why would I star? I'm too cool to star other people's questions.
