There's so many...

Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper

Everybody Hurts - REM

Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley

Nothing Compares To You - Sinead O'Connor

Right Here Waiting - Richard Marx (it's got that heart-wrenching piano effect..)

Run - Snow Patrol

The Weakness In Me - Joan Armatrading

Imagine - John Lennon

The Drugs Don't Work - The Verve

Hurt - Johnny Cash (his version is just much more sad than NIN.. :( )

Fast Car - Tracy Chapman

With Or Without You - U2

......beware I'm going into some seriously cheesy territory here...

Crash And Burn - Savage Garden
Truly, Madly, Deeply - Savage Garden

Kiss The Rain - Billie Myers

.....and if none of the above have an effect on a guy even just once, then he's not human. :P

"Time In a Bottle"
--Jim Croce

(Especially thinking about the fact that Mr. Croce died at the age of 30 in a plane crash and left a young widow and 2 year old son.)
