im not sure why it was necessary for then to go from naruto to naruto shippuuden but really its just like a new chapter of the story where everyone is stronger and smarter, which takes place after 2 and a half years of training and most characters living somewhat peaceful lives.

Naruto is first, it has 220 episodes. Shippuuden is the next part of the big series. And people are waiting for the 18th episode to air. And you have a long way to go i guess. Have fun watching Naruto.

Yeah, like what the others say. Naruto is like the first season I guess. Naruto Shippuden is the second season, after the time-skip. Everyone gets stronger and older, since it's 2 years later. Lots of other new characters also get introduced. So no, Shippuden is not the end of Naruto, it's like the continuation. Have fun watching!

Think of it as there is a dragon ball and dragon ball z. Naruto and then Naruto Shippuuden.

okay look,

it's not really the end of naruto anime series
in naruto shippuden, everyone's two years older and the shinobis are much more stronger because they got trained. the same characters are gonna be there, but new ones will be added too x]

okkeyz then =)
