Take any extra Biology and Chemistry classes that you can as this will be helpful as well as continuing in your Algebra studies. I don't know about the college that you plan to attend but mine did not require a foreign language. You may want to re-calculate your GPA as a 4.0 is straight A's and I'm not so sure that you can do any better than that. If you meant 3.69 you are on the right track. A lot of nursing schools are difficult to get into so keep up the good grades to give yourself an edge. Good Luck!!!

The classes you take in high school are not that important except to get you into a 4 year college (so the college track at your school). You need 4 years of science and math and at least two years of foreign language plus some extra curricular stuff (like the jrotc). It sounds like you are on the right track.

Take chemistry!!!!!!!!! That's the best advice I can give you. College chemistry is tough. Take biology if you can. Take as much math as you can, esp. statistics if offered. Don't worry about taking calculus b/c you probably won't need it for a nursing degree. Anatomy would be great for you if your hs offers it as well. It's not extremely important what you take in high school, but learning all you can now will help you out when you go to college. College courses move faster and are more difficult, so really concentrate on making the classes you are in now your preparation.

Physical science was a great class, but you really should start focusing on other things which are related to medicine: Biology and Chemistry are impotant to have, and it would also be a really good idea to consider Psychology, Sociology, and any kinds of Ethics or Philosophy classes which might be offered. You don't really need all that much math to be a nurse, so don't feel like you need advanced calculus or anything.

Since you are taking ROTC then there is the possibility of going to the military, correct? You would certainly find those credits an advantage should you decide to take that route as well as the military paying for your nursing school if you talk to the right recruiter! One thing to definitely do is talk to your ROTC instructor about putting you in touch with people regarding scholarships and such that do not necessarily require military service, they are out there. As mentioned above, get all the math and science that you can get and if you have a school that offers it go ahead and take psychology.

4.69 gpa? I thought it stopped at 4. You must be mad smart.

In high school, I would take Biology, take a math class all four years. Does your High school offer A&P your sennior year? If it does, take that.

You don't really need to take anything in high school, although the Biology and Math classes will give you a good background for your studies in nursing.

Sounds like you're doing good!!

Make sure to have four years of math classes, I know that most states only require three (Geo, Alg. I, Alg. II), but try to take Pre-cal or Calculus.

Also make sure to get your science classes in!! If possible take anatomy or a class like that if your school offers it.

I'm not entirely sure but I don't know if there's any language requirements in a college nursing program, but I know two years is recommended before college. But, if you don't want to take French, there's a lot of other languages to choose from. Latin may be helpful in college since a lot of medical terms derive from Latin.

You don't need to take specific classes in High School, but I have a friend preparing for nursing school right now and being familiar with chemistry, biology and anatomy would give you a head start.

You don't have to worry about what you take in high school. Just get good grades and keep your GPA up. No employer for any profession would be concerned about what classes you took in high school. Neither would any college.

i think you should take more science classes, like maybe physics and chemistry, and if your school offers it, you could take anatomy and physiology. by the way, you don't have to take french if you don't like it. you could take another foreign language if your school offers it. you still have time, because you can pick up another language next year, and still have time to get two years in. and one last thing, i really envy your GPA.Keep up the good work!!
