Yeah the Niners are in a poor state, no matter how well Gore does.
In terms of the Seahawks, they have what it takes to get them into the playoffs, they've proven that much. My concern would be their plummeting from SuperBowl participant to mediocrity. It was a good ride up, but a very quick fall down the latter.
The issue for them is consistency. Whether that be an issue with fill-ins (Seneca Wallace for Hasselback, or forgive me, whoever for Alexander), or is it a matter of the vets really playing like they should, I am unsure. I do know if they are to get back into the playoffs they need to do it at the beginning of the season rather than wait to put in for the hard run at the end. It will save them in the long run and enable to rest their best come the end of the season!
Best of luck.

I feel your pain about Jackson to the niners. And the Hawks definitely should have won the Super Bowl had the refs not given to Pittsburgh. I still think they'll be a shoe-in for the playoffs. They've got a great offense when they're not injured, and Defense will be better with Marcus Trufant coming off injury. If the Hawks are healthy i'm seeing another trip to the big game!

I think they might actually miss the playoffs altogether. Don't get me wrong, theyre a decent team and will be above .500, but they're moving in the wrong direction. Alexander got paid, got hurt, lost a key piece of his O-line, and is on the downside of his career- as is Hasselbeck. Losing Jackson will sting since Branch is not a #1 guy. Which leaves them with an overpaid Vikings cast off and Engram. Their defense isn't getting any better either and Tutupu needs to rebound off a slow soph season. The draft didnt really do much for them since they didn't get a blue chip pick to really help out immideatley.
I predict the the NFC will unfold as such:
Cowboys, Bears, Saints, Rams with Niners and Giants for wild cards

I'm no Niners fan, but I think the Niners are takin the division this year. They have too much talent in Smith, Davis, Gore, Staley, Willis, Clements, and Young. Seahawks will get a wild card this year.

You would be proud if your team had a super bowl victory let alone 4. That was a great move sending Jackson to a division Rival, if that doesn't motivate him??? Niners stepped up there D and have a great shot at running the 3-4 all year, we got a D coach who is familiar w/the 3-4, Seattle is in trouble!! The west may be messy! I'll Roll with the Niners taking the Division. Maybe you can sneak into the playoffs with a wild card. Good Luck!

To be fairly frank, each group has a raffle. i've got confidence the Seahawks have a greater effective probability than maximum certainly. The group has executed fairly nicely whilst human beings underrate them (2004 Season had them in the superbowl, 9-7 that season, 2005 had them going nowhere, 13-3 season, 2006 had them with the aid of fact the NFC's appropriate group, 9-7 returned) and that they are fairly wholesome, the two on Offense and protection. Shaun Alexander looks to have healed totally and performed fairly nicely down the stretch of the final 5 video games he grew to become into in. Matt Hasselbeck I even have some doubts in, however the certainty is which you would be waiting in charge maximum of Matt's struggles final twelve months on an Offensive line that had a various participant commencing for them each and each week. now that the line is wholesome, they are able to start transforming into between the main severe aspects in soccer: Chemistry. A group divided will fall. As for the WRs, dropping Darrell Jackson hurts, however the owner of the group grew to become into in feud with him, and together with his degenerative knee condition, ought to tutor to be greater of a help than a hinderance. Nate Burleson has large skill as long as he can keep his palms on the ball. As for the protection, i will see them as a remarkable one million/2 contender. the line of defense has had MANY enhancements, and keep the enable down of Marcus Tubbs, ought to have adequate intensity to cover if every person gets injured. the Linebackers I evaluate the appropriate in the league.Julian Peterson submit his occupation numbers in Seattle, Lofa Tatupu purely gets greater effective and greater matured, and Leroy Hill is many times neglected, and is a large bypass-rusher besides as dropping returned into coverage. The secondary is the main important question mark. Marcus Trufant is in his settlement twelve months, and with the way Seattle has been revamping the protection, he may well be long gone after this season. Kelly Jennings IMO is extremely knowledgable and ought to in good shape into the #2 spot ok. Deon supply and Brian Russell have the protection spots lined ok from what I hear, and the main important protecting acquisition, Jim Mora, ought to relatively help groom the greater youthful CBs into Deangello hall-like gamers. conventional, I belive the Seahawks have a large shot at a Superbowl. i do no longer have confidence in the "hard time table, uncomplicated time table" component, with the aid of fact everybody is 0-0 on the commencing up of the season and anythign can take place.

I think their a really good team and they will win a lot of games this year. They had a lot of injuries last year and that really hurt them and now that everyone is healthy they should really be a threat.
