I had to work late

I got off work late, and then there's all the construction on the roads which led to road rage. I started yelling at the guy next to me, who happened to be a cop. He pulled me over for obscenities and gave me a citation. Then once on the road again my car overheated sitting in all that construction, by the time I got home it was too late to call.
