cyst are very common for women especially before their periods. I actually had a huge ovarian cyst and was pregnant, they removed the cyst while I was pregnant and I had a healthy 9 lb. boy who is 20 now. They have so many different surgeries and alternatives these days there's no reason I can think why you still couldn't have a child, unless you have some other issues also.

well the only thing for you to do is pray that everything is ok. its hard waiting on results so you can search through the internet as they have almost every answer in the book .But from my experience i had an ultrasound when i was ill and i had ovarian cysts but they were very harmless i guess i had few which is sometimes normal. But dont start thinking of the negative just yet you may not have any.
To answer if ovarian cysts could affect your chances of having a baby, yes it can a friend of mine have cysts and unfortunately may not be able to conceive and she is only 23yrs. But it depends on the seriousness of it all. Cause like i said mine were harmless

I had ovarian cysts on both of my ovaries. They shrank and didnt bother me at all through 3 healthy pregnancies. I had a hysterectomy after the last baby due to tumors and at that time one ovary was completey ruined by a cyst and the other was just drained so i would not have to be on hormone therapy at 25. Best of luck and hope you get the child you want and the relief you want...

My sister and I both suffer from ovarian cysts. It can affect your fertility, but it doesn't always. It depends on the severity. My sister has had problems for years, but she now has 2 healthy kids that she conceived and delivered. Try not to stress too much until you talk to your doctor again. Good luck! I wish you the best!

I had ovarian cysts before I was married and maybe they are still there. I also had 3 normal pregnancies that resulted in 3 beautiful full term babies.

I had an ovarian cyst 2 cm on my L ovary. The dr. said this was common, and to come back in a couple of months and we'd check again. When we did--it was gone.

I hope your case turns out as well as mine.

i never had ovarian cysts, however, i do know some people who do. it does effect your fertility, but there is also medicine that your doctor can give you that will increase your chances of becoming pregnant.
