Serpae tetra with angel fish?

29 gallon tank

3 serpae tetra
2 bolivian rams

Guy at petstore tell me that serpae will destroy an angelfishes fins. My serpae dont bother the other rams at all, they seem peaceful is he right? should i get angels anyway?
if not what other fish do you suggest?

Serpae Tetras will nip the fins of an Angelfish or even a Beta Fish. Increasing the shoal size of your Serpae Tetras would be a wise move. I suggest getting 3 - 5 more of them. Avoid any fish with fancy fins. You could get a single Rainbow Shark.

I would think that the serpae destroying the angelfish but I am not really sure.

It could go either way, serpae's are not really aggressive and are generally quite peaceful, but in a small group like you have they can get nippy.

in the beginning be certain you have a minimum of a 36 gallon in case you desire to have those fish considering which you desire to have an angel fish. and look into the angel's fish mouth... is it great sufficient to consume the guppy and neons? and additionally the guppy element... in case you could , get greater of it and its so lonely interior on my own with only one guppy. and additionally in case you're rather confident the angel and consume the guppy and others, get a 60 gallon or a hundred gallon tank for multiple areas to cover ok?(this concept isn't a good one through fact who would ever desire to purchase a a hundred gallon tank only through fact of an angel fish?) hehe :) yet in any case, the greater effective the tank, the greater useful. edited: ok considering that its a sixty 5 gallon tank only get greater hiding embellishes or flowers for the fish to cover.
