here's a bit of a clue.Craig S guessed Thompson,Mays, and Irvin of the early 50s Giants and Tony G guessed Mays,Alou, and Alou of the early 60s.The 1st all black outfield was BETEEN those 2 guesses and it was not the Giants.And one of them is in the Hall.They played together for several seasons also.

Is it the Giants' Hank Thompson, Willie Mays and Monte Irvin?

I believe their first game together was Game 1 of the 1951 World Series.

the giantsof 64, willie mays, matty alou & felepe alou were the every day all black outfield for the sf giants

Since you didn't specify what level of baseball you meant, my answer would be the first time a black college fielded a baseball team.
