Publicizing the identity of a CIA agent is a felonious act of treason. I will never get over the shock that Cheney had Libby do this. Cheney's day will come. Libby was convicted. Berger is suspected by some.
If somebody told you 5 yrs. ago that a CIA agent would be outed by a politician, would you assume it could be a conservative Vice President?
I think deep down, most conservatives are quietly shocked and angry. Most cons would expect a LIBERAL to do something like that.

Libby does not have a faulty memory. He is very intelligent and fully aware of what he is doing and has done. He was following Cheney's orders and Bush's orders when he outed the agent. He took the bullet for them He just should not have lied about it.

Libby was convicted of a felony, that's why. It's not enough for republicans to want someone in jail, they must actually have been found guilty and sentenced. Patriot act 3 has not been passed yet.
