I have a band with my best friend. we completely love to sing and act. Noone supports us but our families. It makes me so mad sometimes because people who are supposevely "friends" don't like it cause they are not in it. We tried that once but they can't sing their hearts out at all, they just don't put in that much effort. Now when they look back at that time they say stuff like, "yeah thats super stupid." and "I guess everyone tries to be a star, only the ones with brains make it." or one time one girl said "yeah and you could not even sing ad then yu tried me, and i was like way better."
They ALWAYS say mean stuff to us about how we sing. One girl even said "u will never be famous." When I write songs they think it's lame. BUT it's what i want to do when i get older, and my friend is good at it too. Our families and others have said we are really good at what we are trying to do....but they are the only ones. Are they just jealous? Please help MAJOR ISSUE>>>>>>>I NEED HELP!!!

except no one supports me i want to be an actress/singer and im an ohkay singer but im rllllllllly good at acting, but my parents and family always try to discourage me, all the advice i can give is that if your "friends" dont support your dreams then they arent real friends at all follow your heart work hard and hopefully you'll make it![=

I really can't answer your question because I can't hear your music. However, I don't think your families would lie if you were both awful. I'd listen to your families.
As for your "SUPPOSED" friends I'd ignore their comments. If they don't like the way you sing or your band then tough s h i t. Do you really care? I mean ...with these type of people if they are not criticizing your music etc. they'd be criticizing something else.

Hmm... How about meeting a person who's supergood at singing? He might be able to help you.and, make sure the notes aren't just doe sol la ti. They need to be related to each other, like the sound of music.

Put yourself on Youtube or any other site, create your own, on yahoo.
even if you don't make it singing, many get just as famous writing songs for others

don't worry about them, isn't dat how all of da greats become legends and icons? make yurself a myspace page 4 da band and see what da world thinks about yur music. dat's da only way 2 kno
