Don't cram the night before the SAT, it won't help. The extra relaxation [and sleep] will do you better.

It's not necessary to take a whole bunch of practice SATs, but it's a good idea to take one or two so you can see what the test is like.

A book might be helpful, but I can't give you any information based off personal experience -- I bought one but lent it to my friend so I didn't use it.

Argue with intelligent people.

Go to a retirement home and strike up conversations with retired physicists, lawyers, and other people who have good reasoning skills.

It's not something you can get in a book in 30 days or less, imo.

take a practice test a day every day for at least two weeks. do not study the day before test. the more you do the better you'll get at it.
