Do you ever wish that someone would look at you...not through rose-coloured glasses but...just really look at you...with all your mistakes, all your flaws...and then just hug you anyway...or just tell you that you mean the world to them?

Yer during a bad point in my life when I was depressed and out of a job. I acually wish upon a star for my life to become better, and I was really looking for a way to dig myself out of a rut. Seriuosly I was homeless for 3 months and everything!.And you know what my wish came true. I now am working as a builder and have a kid and lifes great. All thanx to my wish coming true

I feel like that sometimes, but then I remember that there is really someone like that.
I don't want to sound like I'm preaching, but God is exactly what you just described.
God sent Jesus down to pay for everyone's screw-ups and flaws, so now you can come to God and he will tell you that you mean the world to Him.
In fact, He's already told you. John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

That would be great, for something to be real. Everyone wants to be genuinely accepted and loved. Too bad it's never that easy for someone to look at you and immediately forgive you for all the wrongs you have done and all the hurt you caused and love you for you.

Sadly, I'm my own worst critic to the point the ones most honest tell me I'm too hard on myself, I'd rather have a hug. I don't get enough of those.

No....because if a person truely loves you and cares for you they would love you know matter what your flaws were or any mistakes you had made.
