I'm average size, thin and have a small child like face. I know!!! How in the world are people going to think I'm 21, right? It totally sucks!!!! I always have to show my ID and high school guys think I'm their age. What can I do to look older?

I am 30 and am still being carded, but NOW I appreciate it. I hated it forever like you, but you'll get used to it, and the older you get, the more you'll like it!!! I teach junior high and on jeans day I blend in with the kids. In fact, the cafeteria workers ask for my ID sometimes...LOL!!! I don't mind any more. Hang in there, if this is your worst problem, then you are alright!

I know it sucks I am 18 years old but I look like an 11 year that dresses too mature for her age...Because I'm 5"2 which sucks (my profile picture is me) which is why i wear heels but don't change yourself because some people mistake you it's really doesn't matter we are all unique you'll love yourself more than you do now later on :-)

You can try to dress in an older, more sophisticated manner.
For example, you can wear blazers w/ trousers or dark jeans. Pumps w/ heels. Ankle boots. Conservative, all leather sandals.
Upscale or conservative jewelry like pear earrings or larger, modern bangles.
If you wear eye glasses - choose an edgy modern frame in a dramatic color.
Stick w/ simple conservative makeup like eyeliner tight against the upper lash line, curl your lashes & apply 1 coat of mascara. Wear a "your lips but better" lip color.
Carry expensive looking accessories - like an all leather hand bag. (e.g. Something from the Coach Classic line.)
For your hair - wear a low ponytail & conceal the elastic w/ a section of hair. Secure the section w/ a bobby pin.
Experiment w/ updos like a bun or chignon.

You should be grateful you look young. I am sure when your 40 you wont complain when people mistake you for being in your 30's. I am sure you won't try to make yourself look older when your actually older. The point I am trying to make is that you should enjoy your youth while your young. It is a blessing to have a youthful appearance. Don't try to look older then you will grow older faster.

Lucky you! By the time you are 40 you will still look early 30's. Women will hate you, and you will save a fortune on plastic surgery.
