It's maybe easy for us to jugde that someone's smart. But how about yourself? How do you know that you're smart?

People told me that I'm smart, I work hard, I always got good marks, but I actually I've never thought that I'm smart. I always think that I'm a lazy girl, I didn't work that hard, I always regret that I can't get a better score, I think that I'm just stupid.

What can I do?

There are all sorts of ways to be smart.

You could be smart in math, or music, or English, or art, or fixing a car,or history, or flying an airplane, or gymnastics.

All those things are using different parts of your brain. We can't be smart in everything (at least, hardly anyone ever is). You can be brilliant in certain things, and terribly dumb in others.

Maybe you are lazy at school, and you could get better scores...but that has nothing to do with being smart.

The question is, what makes you excited? What would activity or study would make you so happy, that you would want to put you whole self into it?

I say you're a perfectionest. Not that that's bad, so am I.

I just learned to live with it and the fact that I get such good grades. I actualy fear failing anything. So far, this has never happened(Thank goodness)

You'll know it if you achieve it.

Also being lazy has nothing to with smarts.

I may be foolish at times to be overly lazy. But, intelligence and wisdom are totally separate.

I don't consider myself smart and that doesn't bother me. I'd rather focus on achieving and repeating results than what labels and perceptions others thrust onto me.
